Parent Teacher Interviews
I had the privelage of participating in parent-teacher interviews in October. Only one parent actually came in to see me, but it was still a great learning experience as a new teacher, and the one interview was a great chance to gain some understanding of how parent-teacher interaction works.
I also had the chance to communicate with different parents over the phone and via email. This was also a great experience, and although it was nerve-racking at first, it was actually a very beneficial thing to do to develop relationships with parents and make sure that parent, student, and teacher are on the same page.
