Yearbook
During my time at LCI I was able to contribute to the yearbook club, and took numerous photos for the yearbook. I went to different sporting events including ones at Chinook and the UofL, as well as to many home volleyball games. I also took pictures for the Christmas choir concert, at Halloween, grade 9 initiation, a pep rally, and an assortment of other day-to-day activities.
Below I have attached some of my personal favorite photos that I took while at LCI. I loved learning about photography and seeing my own photos improve as they progressed, as well as teaching photography in multimedia. I was glad I could contribute to the yearbook club at LCI.

Video Game Club
One of my favorite things I did this semester was setup a few Super Smash Brothers tournaments after school on Friday. It was enjoyable for myself because I am a bit of a nerd, but it was especially fun for the students who were interested. They absolutely loved the tournaments, wanted to have them more often, and talked about them all the time.
District-Wide Collaboration
I was also able to get invloved in developing assessment tools for the entire district based around the COM occupational area in CTS. This was a great learning opportunity for me as I had the chance to meet with CTS teachers from around the district, see how they had many of their classes setup, and help contribute to making assessment tools that the entire district could use. This was only the beginning steps to what the CTS teachers have envisioned, but it was still a wonderful learning opportunity.
To the right is a look at the group members and some of the teachers I had the chance to work with while we developed these assessment strategies. |
Other Extracurricular activities
There were a few other things I was able to do while at LCI. I ran in the Terry Fox Marathon, I helped setup and run the technology for the Remembrance Day Ceremony, and I volunteered to gate-keep at a few home tournaments. These were fun, and showed that I was committed to the school even amidst the busyness of PSIII.
