CTF Photoshop Project
I believe the way I laid out my Photoshop Unit with the Grade 9's was direct evidence of my ability to translate the Program of Studies into planning, instruction and assessment. I made sure to use the CTF curriculum to guide all aspects of this Unit, and it shows that I have a firm understanding of this fairly new curriculum. It was also one of my favorite units to setup and teach.

CTS Prerequisite Checks
Something that seems simple in theory, but is actually quite difficult in practice, is checking for prerequisites. Many of my students had taken multimedia before, but didn't know which classes they had taken specifically, so I had to implement a method that would ensure students knew which classes they had already done. And then I had to set it up so they could check for prerequisites on each new modules they wanted to take as well.
Here is a picture of all the modules and the courses each student had already done. If there are x's it is because they hadn't done any multimedia modules yet.
Below is an example of what each student had to setup to check which modules they had already done, and which modules they were going to do this semester. This student put all the ones he had done previously in blue, and the ones for this semester in red.

Planning is one of the most important parts of teaching, and I believe I have found that out during this practicum. I came in somewhat unprepared but have managed to adjust my planning to better guide my instruction and assessment as the semester has progressed.
